Wren Bump is a real person. She is a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a creator of all sorts of things. She has created many scrapbooks, picture books, quilts and other works of art.
Wren loves to teach and to develop teaching materials. She is an expert at task analysis and problem solving. She especially loves to collaborate and be part of a team, as well as encourage and build up people.
She is a full-time instructor at Houston Community College’s VAST academy – a post-secondary transition program and comprehensive support services, which lead to meaningful credentials, employment and independence for differently-abled individuals.
Dr. Bump also teaches pre-service general education teacher students at UHCL. The course prepares them to create inclusive classrooms for all students.
She is also the Learning and Diagnostic Specialist for Learner Dynamics, an innovative team of experienced professional educators who focus on the learner and utilize our professional network to improve learning in school and in life.
Dr. Bump volunteers for an ESL ministry where she teaches adults from all over the world about our alphabet and language.
